Lex Simshauser has decades of professional experience as an auctioneer and valuer. Lex began his career at Cyril Windrum and Company and in 1970 was a founding Partner and Director of the Overett Group. In 1989 Lex chose to pursue his interests as an industrial auctioneer further by establishing a specialist consultancy group, Lex E. Simshauser Pty Ltd trading as Simshauser, based in Brisbane. The current business name of Lex Simshauser Partners is as a result of the partnership formed with Graham Messer in 2004 under the corporation name of The Avenues Partners Pty Ltd trading as Lex Simshauser Partners. During his career Lex has undertaken an array of marketing and valuation assignments throughout Australia and in Malaysia, Solomon Islands, Fiji and Ghana in West Africa. Projects have been as diverse as the marketing and sale of closed mining and logging operations and its townships/settlements, to the sale of charter aircraft fleets, marine craft and other transport assets. Lex has a proven record of retaining and managing numerous well-credentialed and multi-disciplined professionals to ensure that projects receive diligent and qualified support. Graham Messer began his career with Elders Pastoral as a livestock auctioneer in outback Queensland. He later became owner and operator of a Central Queensland real estate agency until he joined Mason Gray Strange in the early 1980's as an auctioneer and project manager. Graham joined Rushton's Valuers in 1989 as manager of the company's Queensland auction division where he managed major valuation assignments that took him to Canada and New Zealand. He joined Simshauser in 1995 as Manager of the Industrial Auctions division and after a short time away returned and formed the partnership of Lex Simshauser Partners with Lex in 2004. Graham has undertaken significant assignments in Ghana West Africa and managed the disposal of plant and equipment for a Canadian brewery, the sale of a New Zealand television studio and the sale of a number of abattoirs and engineering assets throughout Queensland and NSW.
